A full house of guests enjoyed the Inaugural Fall Harvest Farm to Table Dinner hosted by the Treasure Coast Food Bank at Schacht Groves. Wild Thyme Catering provided a delicious dinner that included a pork loin carving station with a Dijon cream sauce while dessert was cooked up by Healthy Harvest Catering, a program of the food bank. Attendees also enjoyed the music of Blue Cypress Bluegrass Band. Proceeds of the evening benefit the Treasure Coast Food Bank.

This year’s Riverside Theatre Festival of Trees Gala theme was Favorite Things and nostalgia and gingerbread were in the air. Elizabeth Kennedy Catering offered delectable hors d’oeuvres and a buffet dinner as guests relived days of merriment listening to holiday favorites by the Riverside Children’s Theatre students. This event is known to be the kickoff to the holiday season and is a benefit to the Riverside Children’s Theatre.

An evening filled with culinary experiences was presented to guests by eight phenomenal chefs at Quail Valley River Club. Tasty items were set up at various food stations around the porch and waterside patio. This 11th annual event goes to support March of Dimes Indian River County’s effort to fund research on the causes of pre-term birth. Guests enjoyed offerings by chefs from as far away as The Boathouse in Disney Springs to local favorites from Scott Varricchio of Citrus Grillhouse. Celebrity auctioneer John Moore hosted a lively auction of luxury items up for bid.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Indian River presented Philanthropy Through the Decades at the Vero Beach Museum of Art on National Philanthropy Day. After a cocktail reception, more than 300 guests attended a formal dinner in Holmes Great Hall. Honorees were feted before the final selected winners were revealed.

Ladies who lunch for a cause — Supporters of the Riverside Theatre — attended the annual Friend’s Fall Luncheon against a New York neighborhood backdrop. The event is the largest fall fundraiser which supports Riverside’s operating budget. Approximately 400 ladies filled the Orchid Lobby and Waxlax Theatre to enjoy a catered luncheon, bidding for some excellent auction items and being entertained by The Broadway Tenors.

“Hooray for Hollywood” was the theme for Education Foundation, St. Lucie’s Evening for Education, a celebration of success for St. Lucie County public schools. The annual dinner featured a live and silent auction, raising 60 percent more money than the previous year. The dinner/dance collected some $56,000 to support public education. Sponsors included Jacquin & Sons Construction, Treasure Coast Lexus, Comcast, PNC, ATT, FPL, Seacoast Bank, Keiser University, MIDFLORIDA Credit Union, Grimes Heating and Air Conditioning, Bank of America and Treasure Coast Urgent Care.

Guests enjoyed dinner and a silent auction at the elegant Oak Harbor Club to support the Women’s Refuge of Vero Beach. Rebekah Gregory, a victim of the Boston Marathon bombing, spoke about God’s plan and her faith to look beyond her leg amputation and count her blessings. The mission of WRVB is offering hope, help and lifelong healing for women with emotional, mental and spiritual issues.

One of the season’s largest and most glitzy events benefited the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County. The Sun Aviation Center was completely transformed into a club-like fashion show as guests enjoyed delicious national and international wines, tasted gourmet munchies and viewed products from luxury vendors from around the country. Soaring aerial acrobats flew above as raffle sales were offered by the suave “Shoe Guys” who worked the runway to raise additional funds.
